Now that it’s February and the holidays are officially behind us, it’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to sell that holiday-themed screenplay you’ve finally finished. By March, most networks have their holiday slates set, and filming starts as early as this month for movies that will air for the holiday season 2024. The demand for these movies is huge (115+ new, original movies premiered between October and December 2023) and with the success of the 2023 holiday season, I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon.

While Hallmark Channel is the reigning queen of warm, fuzzy holiday movies, they’re not the only player in the ever-growing game. Nearly every network and streamer offered holiday films last year (although not all of them were feel-good romps), and several spent big bucks.
